Description

This audit is the first step before taking a website under ongoing maintenance, carrying out a major modernization, or starting work on a website previously developed or maintained by another company.

It is suitable both when the website has specific problems and when it works properly but you are planning further development, an advertising campaign, a change of contractor, additional language versions, or ongoing technical support.

Instead of starting work without a complete understanding of the website’s condition, we first check its configuration, key functions, risks, and technical environment. This allows us to determine what needs to be fixed, what can be developed safely, and what the next stage of work should look like.

When the audit is recommended

  • You want to transfer your website or online store to a new company for ongoing support.
  • You have a list of planned changes, but their actual scope is not yet clear.
  • The website displays errors, works unstably, or some functions have stopped working.
  • Problems appeared after updating the content management system, plugins, or theme.
  • The website is slow or there are hosting or overload-related issues.
  • The online store has problems with the cart, payments, forms, or checkout process.
  • You are planning an advertising campaign and want to check whether the website is ready to generate enquiries.
  • You are planning to add new language versions, sections, forms, or integrations.
  • Your Google visibility has decreased or the website is not delivering the expected results.

Audit scope

The scope is adjusted to the type and complexity of the website.

  • Small website – a basic company website or simple business website.
  • Company or multilingual website – a larger number of pages, several language versions, forms, and additional functions.
  • Online store – we additionally check the purchasing process, cart, checkout, payments, and key WooCommerce elements.
  • Complex website, portal, or integrations – the scope is defined individually after an initial review of the project.

What we check

  • Technical condition – content management system, theme, plugins, software versions, errors, and potential conflicts.
  • Hosting and server environment – key hosting parameters, PHP, database, resource usage, and possible limitations.
  • Backups – whether they are created, where they are stored, and whether the website can actually be restored.
  • Security – SSL/HTTPS, access to the administration panel, basic risks, suspicious activity, and the current security setup.
  • Speed and caching – the main causes of slow performance and possible optimization measures.
  • Forms and key functions – whether enquiries are sent correctly and whether the website’s main mechanisms work properly.
  • Structure and usability – menu, navigation, accessibility of the offer, contact details, and the most important user actions.
  • Calls to action and conversion – whether buttons and forms guide the user towards the intended action.
  • Basic search engine optimization – indexing, sitemap, headings, page titles, descriptions, and basic technical issues affecting search visibility.
  • Language versions – where applicable, we check language structure, page relationships, menus, and basic translation-related issues.
  • Online store – where applicable, we check the cart, checkout, payments, and key elements of the sales process.

Monitoring and analytics

We review the existing monitoring and analytics setup, including Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and other tools currently in use.

We check whether data is collected correctly, whether there are duplicate tags, and whether key actions can be measured, such as form submissions, clicks on phone numbers, email addresses, or contact buttons.

If the configuration is simple and can be safely corrected within the audit, basic changes may be implemented immediately.

Quick fixes included in the audit

The audit is not a full repair package, but if we identify minor issues that can be safely resolved without launching a separate project, we may fix some of them immediately.

Examples include:

  • correcting a simple configuration error;
  • removing or updating an outdated menu item;
  • fixing a button or link;
  • making a basic correction to a form;
  • resolving a simple analytics issue;
  • implementing a minor technical fix that makes further work easier.

Larger changes, website redesign, migration, expansion of language versions, repair of serious errors, or implementation of new functions are quoted separately.

Additional analysis for overload and traffic-related problems

If the problem concerns failures during periods of increased traffic, we can additionally analyse available server logs, resource usage, PHP processes, database activity, caching, automated traffic, and hosting limits.

Based on this analysis, we can assess whether the website requires optimization, a hosting plan upgrade, a virtual private server, a content delivery network, or another infrastructure solution.

Load testing is a separate type of analysis and is performed only when it is actually required.

What you receive after the audit

You receive a concise diagnostic report and a list of recommended actions.

Each significant issue is described according to the following logic:

problem → priority → recommendation → next step

Depending on the project, the report may include:

  • critical issues requiring prompt action;
  • important issues that do not require immediate intervention;
  • recommended improvements and development opportunities;
  • an estimated scope of required work;
  • the recommended order of implementation;
  • a recommendation for the most suitable ongoing support model.

What happens after the audit

After completing the analysis, we can propose one of several cooperation models:

  • fixing specific issues – we implement only the most important corrections;
  • implementation package – we agree on an hourly budget and complete the next tasks according to priority;
  • ongoing website support – monitoring, updates, technical support, and website development within a monthly package.

There is no obligation to continue cooperation after the audit.

Completion time

Standard completion time is 2-5 business days from payment and receipt of all required access details.

For larger online stores, portals, custom integrations, or server log analysis, the timeframe may be agreed individually.

Price and terms

The price depends on the type of website, the number of functions, language versions, and the required scope of diagnostics.

For more complex projects, additional work is billed at the current rate of PLN 150 net per hour, after prior approval of the scope and budget.

Important: the main purpose of the audit is to determine the actual condition of the website and establish a safe approach to further work. If we identify malware, serious server problems, errors in custom integrations, or other issues requiring substantial intervention, we will provide a separate quotation before starting such work.

How to order

Select the option that best matches your website and order the service.

If, after receiving access, we determine that the scope is simpler or more complex than expected, we will contact you before starting any additional work.

If the selected option was broader than necessary, we will adjust the billing accordingly. If the project requires a larger scope, we will present possible next steps together with costs and priorities.
